Meet Dr. Hand
Dr. Terry Hand's extensive training and years of experience in both cosmetic surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery, combined with his emphasis on personalized care, have made him one of the most highly respected plastic surgeons in Northern California.
After earning a B.S. from Susquehanna University and a M.S. from University of Missouri in biochemistry, Dr. Hand received his M.D. from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Hand went on the complete his internship at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco, CA and his general surgery residency at the University of California, Davis and the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Martinez, CA. His extensive plastic surgery residency was finished at the University of California Medical Center, Davis in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Hand is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Our Marin County outpatient surgical facility is accredited by the Accreditation Association For Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Dr. Hand has been in private practice in Marin County, CA since 1981. He has served as an assistant clinic professor of plastic surgery at U.C. Davis Medical Center and as Chief of Plastic Surgery at both Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, CA and the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Martinez, CA.
Dr. Hand resides in Marin County, CA with his wife Lisa and their 3 children. When he is not working, he enjoys an active family life and keeps busy with his hobbies of skiing, fine woodworking and art.
